The monastery at Thikse is one of the many destinations on our photography workshops, tours and expeditions to Ladakh. Notable photo-ops here include religious ceremonies performed by the resident monks, the countryside from one of the monastery's terraces, and a giant gold-gilded statue of the Maitreya Buddha. Needless to say, the monastery itself is an architectural delight, presenting many photo-ops in itself. |
