Having set aside the Dungchen (great horns of the Tibetan orchestra) - shown resting here on the table - two monks blow on kanglings during a religious ceremony
The Kangling (sometimes also called Kangdung) is a short Tibetan trumpet (sometimes made out of a human thighbone). Most monasitic kanglings are made of wood and metal and are elaborately decorated.
