As the days count down to the new moon (Kartik Purnima), the otherwise sleepy town of Pushkar is innundated by pilgrims from all over the countryside. The town takes on an increasingly carnivalesque atmosphere; joy-rides, snake charmers, fortune tellers, traders and street perfomers of all types vie for attention. |
